Since 2005, Chad has been continuously engaged in the practice of law with Jividen Law Offices, PLLC. His practice is general in nature, but has primarily focused on civil litigation.
Chad is a 1996 graduate of Wheeling Park High School and a 2000 graduate of Waynesburg College (now Waynesburg University) with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with a minor in Political Science. At Waynesburg, Chad was a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship, a Dean’s List student, and a member of the varsity baseball team. He is a 2003 graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law with a Juris Doctorate. There, he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in the area of Education Law. Following his graduation from law school, he served from 2003 to 2005 as the law clerk to the Hon. John T. Madden, Judge for the Second Judicial Circuit of West Virginia. In 2010, he graduated from the West Virginia University College of Human Resources and Education with a Master of Arts in Higher Education. Chad is a member of the Pi Lambda Theta educational honor society and the Golden Key International Honour Society.
As a member of the West Virginia State Bar, the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia, Chad is licensed to practice before all courts of the State of West Virginia. He has made appearances in numerous courts across the State, including the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals - our State’s highest court. Chad further maintains professional membership in the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) and the American Educational Research Association (AERA).
Chad serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Helping Heroes, a local charitable organization devoted to assisting homeless and near homeless veterans.
He is a graduate of Wheeling Park High School and a lifetime resident of the Wheeling area. He continues to reside here locally with his wife, Amy, and their three children, Brody, Chloe and Ava.
